Extension of SE Sunnybrook Boulevard from 82nd Avenue to Harmony Road

It’s no secret that both the population and economy of Clackamas County are growing. That’s a good thing, but it also presents challenges. Increasing traffic is one of the biggest challenges faced every day by local and regional residents and businesses. Traffic congestion results in longer waits at intersections and decreased safety for travelers on foot, on bicycles and in motorized vehicles. This makes life more inconvenient for area residents and employees, and has a negative impact on economic growth, locally and in the region as a whole.

In response to these ongoing needs, Clackamas County is conducting preliminary design work in northwest Clackamas County to extend Sunnybrook Boulevard west from its current terminus at SE 82nd Avenue to Harmony Road, as an integral portion of the Harmony Community Campus.

This area is a resource for the local community and the region, with diverse residential neighborhoods, commercial districts, educational opportunities, natural features and public attractions. Connectivity to regional systems, such as the light rail Green Line, I-205 multi-use path and local street network, is key to the success of the campus and the region.

This website describes the Sunnybrook West Extension project and will be used to keep you informed of the project's status. Public input is important and will be used to help design the best alternative for this extension. To learn more about how you can get involved in this project, please see Get Involved.

No future meetings have been scheduled at this time.
